STEP 1

BRAVIARY: C2 is a Dark/Rock type. This row contains the two fully evolved starter Pokémon in this quiz.

[1.1] If C2 is a Dark and Rock type, it must be Tyranitar.

STEP 2

TYRANITAR: From left to right, Row E has: a Grass type; B3's evolution; a Gen I Bug type; Raticate; a possible evolution of C5; and Braviary.

[2.1] Raticate is in E4.

[2.2] If there are two fully evolved starters in Row E, they must be in E1 and E2, and E1 must be a Grass type. They can't be in E3 (no fully evolved starters are Bug types) or E5 (no starter can evolve into more than one different PKMN).

[2.3] Gen I Bug types: Caterpie, Metapod, Pinsir, Butterfree, Scyther, Weedle, Kakuna, Beedrill, Venonat, Venomoth, Paras, and Parasect

[2.4] Pokemon with branched evolutions (as indicated by Tyranitar's clue for E5)

Burmy-Wormadam/Mothim

Clamperl-Huntail/Gorebyss

Snorunt-Glalie/Froslass

Nincada-Ninjask/Shedinja

Ralts-Kirlia-Gardevoir/Gallade

Wurmple-Silcoon/Cascoon-Beautifly/Dustox

Tyrogue-Hitmonlee/Hitmonchan/Hitmontop

Eevee-Eeveelutions

Slowpoke-Slowbro/Slowking

Poliwag-Poliwhirl-Poliwrath/Politoed

Gloom-Vileplume/Bellossom

STEP 3

RATICATE: There are no Gen I Flying PKMN. The only Column 3 PKMN that don't contain a U in their names are in A3 and D3.

[3.1] E3 must have a U in its name. Of the Gen I Bug types listed in [2.3], only two have a U in their name: Butterfree and Kakuna. There are no Gen I Flying types, so it can't be Butterfree. E3 is Kakuna.

[3.2] B3 must contain a U and evolve into E2 [Tyranitar's clue]. E2 must be a fully evolved starter [2.2] Let's look at all first evolution starter PKMN that contain the letter U: Ivysaur, Quilava, Combusken, Prinplup.

STEP 4

KAKUNA: The only PKMN who belong to branched evolution families are in A2, C5, and E5. D1 is an unevolved Water|Grass type. Braviary isn't adjacent to any Gen I or Gen II PKMN.

[4.1] Lotad is in D1 because it's the only unevolved Water/Grass type PKMN.

STEP 5

LOTAD: Starting in C1 and moving clockwise, I am adjacent to: a Poison/Ground type; Tyranitar; an unevolved PKMN; 1 of 3 PKMN in this quiz starting with T; and a pure Grass type.

[5.1] C1 must be Nidoqueen or Nidoking.

[5.2] E2 must be fully evolved starter PKMN, and evolve from B3 [3.2]. If E2 must be a Pokemon starting with T, it must be either Typhlosion or Torterra. However, it can't be Torterra because it evolves from a pokemon whose previous evolution doesn't contain a U. It must be Typhlosion. Therefore B3 must be Quilava.

[5.3] E1 must be Serperior, Sceptile or Meganium, the only 3 pure Grass final starter evolutions [2.2].

STEP 6

TYPHLOSION: There are exactly 1 100% male PKMN and 2 100% female PKMN in this quiz.

[6.1] The 100% male must be Braviary. Therefore C1 has to be Nidoqueen.

QUILAVA: I'm diagonally adjacent to 3 of the 4 Rock types in this quiz and 1 fully evolved Flying type. There is exactly 1 pure Water type in Row E and exactly 1 Water type in Row C.

[6.2] E1 is a fully-evolved, pure Grass type starter [5.3]. So, the pure water type must be in E5. Tyranitar's clue tells us that E5 evolves into C5 [2.4]. The branched evolutions from that list where the evolved PKMN is a pure water type include:

Clamperl/Huntail-Gorebyss

Eevee/Vaporeon

Poliwag/Poliwhirl

Poliwhirl/Politoed

Poliwhirl/Poliwrath

But if Braviary isn't adjacent to any Gen I or Gen II Pokémon [Kakuna's clue], E5 can't be Vaporeon, Poliwhirl, Politoed or Poliwrath. Therefore, E5 must be either Huntail OR Gorebyss and C5 must be Clamperl.

[6.3a] Quilava is adjacent to Tyranitar, so two out of A2, A4 and C4 must be a Rock type. We know that the Flying type can't also be one of the Rock types because Aerodactyl [the only Flying/Rock type] cannot be in this quiz, as it is a Gen I Flying type [Raticate's clue]. Therefore, whichever cell doesn't contain the Rock type must contain the fully evolved Flying type.

[6.3b] Furthermore, Kakuna's clue tells us that A2 is part of a branched-evolution. No Rock types are part of a branched evolution, so A2 must be the fully evolved Flying type. Fully evolved Flying types belonging to a branched evolution are Mothim, Ninjask and Beautifly. However, Braviary is the only 100% male PKMN in the quiz [6.1], so A2 can't be Mothim; A2 is either Ninjask or Beautifly.

STEP 7

NIDOQUEEN: There is exactly one PKMN whose name starts with a vowel; it's an unevolved water type whose name starts with O.

[7.1] This PKMN could only be Omanyte or Oshawott.

CLAMPERL: Klink is the only genderless and only Steel PKMN in this quiz. Exactly 1 PKMN starts with S in each row except Rows A & B. The only Gen V PKMN in Column 1 is Musharna.

[7.2] E5 must contain either Gorebyss or Huntail [6.2], so E1 must start with an S. E1 is either Serprior or Sceptile [5.3]. But if Musharna's the only Gen V PKMN in Column 1 [Clamperl's clue], E1 must be Sceptile.

STEP 8

SCEPTILE: Row A has, from left to right: a Psychic type; not Ninjask; an Elemental Monkey; a fossil PKMN; a Gen V PKMN; and Sharpedo.

[8.1] We knew that A2 must be either Ninjask or Beautifly [6.3b], so this tells us that A2 must actually be Beautifly.

[8.2] A3 must be an Elemental Monkey, but it can't be Panpour or Simipour because they contain the letter U [Raticate's clue]. It must be Simisage, Simisear, Pansage or Pansear.

[8.3] A4 must be a Fossil PKMN, but it can't start with a vowel [Nidoqueen's clue] (unless it's a unevolved water type whose name starts with O), nor can it be a Steel type [Clamperl's clue]. The possibilities are:

Kabuto, Kabutops, Omanyte, Lileep, Cradily, Relicanth, Cranidos, Rampardos, Tirtouga, Carracosta.

[8.4a] A6 is Sharpedo.

[8.4b] This also means that at least one more PKMN in Row A must start with the letter S, or the row would violate Clamperl's clue.

STEP 9

SHARPEDO: I share a region and exactly 1 type with the dual type in F6.

[9.1] The Gen III dual types that are either Dark types or Water types (but not both) include: Sableye, Nuzleaf, Shiftry, Cacturne; and Surskit, Spheal, Sealeo, Walrein, Relicanth, Marhstomp, Barboach, Whiscash, Lombre, Ludicolo, Wingull, and Pelipper.

BEAUTIFLY: Clockwise (from a specific cell), I'm adjacent to: a Gen I fossil; the only other Bug|Flying type; a PKMN that evolved with a stone; a non-Water type; a PKMN ending in A.

[9.2a] There are 5 PKMN surrounding Beautifly. Of them, we know that one is Quilava. The clues that could pertain to Quilava are: Non-Water type or Ends with A. Let's look at both scenarios.

[9.2b1] If Quilava were the Non-Water type, that would mean that A3 would have to have evolved by stone. It would therefore have to be either Simisage or Simisear [8.2].

[9.2b2] However, A1 would have to be a Bug/Flying type, and we know from Sceptile's clue that A1 must be a Psychic type. Therefore, this cannot work. Therefore, the other possibility must be correct: Quilava's clue is the one that claims it ends with A.

[9.2c1] This means that A3 must be a non-Water type. Pansage, Pansear, Simisage and Simisear are all feasible.

[9.2c2] This also means that A1 must be a PKMN that evolved by stone. Psychic type PKMN that eovlved by stone include: Starmie, Exeggutor, Musharna and Gallade. However, we know that A1 can't be Starmie because Starmie is genderless [Clamperl's rule]; it can't be Exeggutor because Exeggutor starts with a vowel [Nidoqueen's clue]; and it can't be Gallade because Gallade is 100% male [6.1]. Therefore, A1 must be Musharna. This also squares with Clamperl's rule and means that F1 can't be from Gen V [Clamperl's rule].

[9.2c3] Next, we know that B1 is the only other Bug/Flying type in the quiz. The other possible Bug/Flying types (excluding Gen 1 Flying types, per Raticate's clue) are: Ledyba, Ledian, Yanma, Masquearin, Ninjask, Mothim, Combee, Vespiquen, and Yanmega. We already know that Mothim isn't in this quiz because it's 100% male [6.1], and we know that it can't be Ninjask because we've already filled our quota of PKMN in branched evolution families [Kakuna's clue]. Therefore, the options are whittled down to Ledya, Ledian, Yanma, Masquerain, Combee, Vespiquen and Yanmega.

[9.2c4] B2 is a Gen I fossil. From the list of acceptable Gen I Fossil PKMN that we created earlier [8.3], only Kabuto, Kabutops and Omanyte are from Gen I.

STEP 10

MUSHARNA: A5, C6 and F4 contain the three Dragon types in this quiz. There are exactly 2 Fire types in this quiz.

[10.1] We've already marked the two Fire types in th quiz--Typhlosion and Quilava. Therefore, none of the remaining PKMN can be Fire types. This means that A3 must be either Pansage or Simisage [9.2c1].

[10.2] A5 must be a Dragon type. Sceptile's clue also tells us that it is from Gen V. Taking into account that it can't be genderless [Clamperl's clue] and that it must start with a consonant [Nidoqueen's clue], it could be: Fraxure, Haxorus, Druddigon, Deino, Zweilous or Hydreigon.

[10.3] Furthermore, because A4 and A5 both cannot start with the letter S [8.3 and 10.2, respectively], and because Sharpedo does start with the letter S, we know that A3 will have to begin with the letter S in order to make Row A NOT have exactly 1 PKMN with a name beginning with S; otherwise, we would be violating Clamperl's rule. A3 must be Simisage.

STEP 11

SIMISAGE: I'm adjacent to a fully evolved Gen I fossil, an unevolved Gen I fossil and Wailmer. Lotad is the only PKMN starting with L.

[11.1] We know that there are Fossil PKMN in A4 and B2 [Sceptile and Beautifly's clues, respectively]. Therefore, Wailmer must be in B4.

[11.2] We also know that A4 can no longer be Ledian or Ledyba, as Lotad is the only PKMN starting with L. Therefore, A4 must be: Yanma, Masquearin, Combee, Vespiquen, or Yanmega.

STEP 12

WAILMER: Exactly 6 PKMN in this quiz start with S. Exactly 2 PKMN start with N, including F6. Both 100% female PKMN are in the same row.

[12.1] We know that Row A has exactly 2 PKMN starting with the letter S [10.3]. Clamperl's clue tells us that Rows C, D, E and F must all contain exactly 1 PKMN starting with the letter S. Therefore, Row B must not contain any PKMN beginning with the letter S.

[12.2] The PKMN in F6 must start with the letter N.The only option from the list we drew up earlier is Nuzleaf [9.1].

[12.3] The PKMN in B1 cannot be Vespiquen, as we now know that the only other 100% female PKMN in the quiz is in Row C. B1 must be: Yanma, Masquerain, Combee or Yanmega.

STEP 13

NUZLEAF: There is exactly 1 diagonal segment which contains three consecutive PKMN starting with S.

[13.1] There are no Pokemon that start with S in Row B. Therefore, the diagonal in question doesn't involve cells in Row B. It also can't involve cells in Row A (because the diagonal would have to go through Row B). The only other S Pokemon we know (in Rows C-F) is E1: Sceptile. If the diagonal DIDN'T go through this cell, it couldn't go through Row E, as we know that E5 (the only other empty cell in the row) must be either Huntail or Gorebyss [6.2]. In that case, it couldn't go through Row F (for the same reason it couldn't be in Row A). That would leave only Rows C and D, and it is impossible to create a diagonal segment of three consecutive cells between only two rows. Therefore, the diagonal HAS to include Sceptile, and the only diagonal that contains at least three cells including Sceptile's connnects E1-D2-C3. Therefore, D2 and C3 start with the letter S.

[13.2] We know from Wailmer's clue that the other 100% female PKMN is in row C. The empty cells are C3, C4, and C6. The 100% female PKMN can't be in C4 because there are no female-only Rock types [6.3a]. If the 100% femal PKMN were in C6, it would have to be Latias, the only 100% female Dragon type [Musharna's clue]. However, Wailmer's clue specifies that Lotad is the only PKMN starting with L in the quiz, so this is impossible. Therefore, C3 must be the 100% female PKMN, and it must start with an S [13.1]. The only 100% female PKMN starting with S is Smoochum, so C3 must be Smoochum.

[13.2] Consequently, there are no more 100% male or 100% female PKMN in the quiz.

STEP 14

SMOOCHUM: Braviary and D2 have the same dual typing. Teddiursa is adjacent to exactly 1 Dragon type and shares a diagonal with exactly 1 DIFFERENT Dragon type.

[14.1] We know that the PKMN in D2 must therefore be a Normal/Flying type, like Braviary. Also, we know that it's name must start with the letter S [13.1]. Raticate's clue also tells us that the PKMN cannot be from Gen I. The S Pokemon in D2 must also be unevolved [Lotad's clue]. The two possible options are: Starly and Swablu.

[14.2a] Let's try to figure out where Teddiursa is. Teddiursa is adjacent to one Dragon type and shares a diagonal with 1 DIFFERENT Dragon type. The 3 Dragons are in A5, C6, and F4 [Musharna's clue]. Therefore, we can set identify all of the spots where Teddiursa could be by examining the diagonals from these cells.

[14.2b] [Unoccupied] cells on A5's diagonal include D2 and B6. Teddiursa can't be in D2, though, because then it wouldn't be adjacent to either of the other two Dragon types (C6 and F4). Teddiursa also can't be in B6 because then it would be adjacent to two Dragon types, those in A5 and C6--Smoochum's clue states that Teddiursa is adjacent to exactly 1 Dragon type.

[14.2c] (Unoccupied) cells on C6's diagonal that are adjacent to either A5 or F4 include A4 and F3. Teddiursa can't be in A4 because A4 is a Fossil PKMN [Sceptile's clue]. There isn't anything preventing Teddiursa from being in cell F3.

[14.2d] (Unoccupied) cells on F4's diagonal that are adjacent to either A5 or C6 but not F4 include only D6. However, Kakuna's clue tells us that Braviary isn't adjacent to any Gen II PKMN; therefore Teddiursa cannot be in D6.

[14.2e] Therefore, the only possible location for Teddiursa is in F3.

[14.2f] This also meens that no more PKMN beginning with the leter T can be in the quiz, as we already have three: Typhlosion, Tyranitar and now Teddiursa [Lotad's clue].

STEP 15

TEDDIURSA: This row contains exactly 3 Normal types, though none are adjacent to each other. Castform is in F1 UNLESS Tentacool is in B6.

[15.1] Row F contains three non-adjacent Normal types. The only possible solution is that F1 and F5 are Normal types.

[15.2] Tentacool cannot be in B6 because there are no more PKMN whose names begin with the letter T [14.2f] Because Tentacool cannot be in B6, we therefore know that Castform is in F1.

STEP 16

CASTFORM: There is exactly 1 PKMN in each row that CONTAINS the letter G, except for Rows D and F.

[16.1a] Looking at what's already filled in, we see that only Row A already has a PKMN containing a G in its name (Simisage). Therefore, no other PKMN in Row A can contain a G in their name. This means that A5 must contain Fraxure, Haxorus, Deino or Zweilous [10.2].

[16.1b] In Row B, we have four empty cells, one of which must contain a PKMN contining the letter G in its name. B2 is either Kabutops, Kabuto or Omanyte, so the cell containing a Pokemon with the letter G in Row B is either B1, B5 or B6 [9.2c4].

[16.1c] In Row E, none of the filled in PKMN has a name containing a G. Therefore, the only remaining cell, E5, must have a PKMN whose name contains a G. Therefore, it must be Gorebyss, not Huntail [6.2].

STEP 17

GOREBYSS: All but one of the PKMN adjacent to Omanyte can still evolve.

[17.1a] This clue confirms that Omanyte is in the puzzle. Therfore, Oshawott is not [7.1]. B2 is adjacent to at least 5 fully evolved Pokemon, so B2 has to contain Kabutops and NOT Omanyte. Simisage's clue helps us to identify that therefore A4 and B2 must contain Omanyte and Kabutops, in some order. Gorebyss's clue tells us that all but one of the PKMN adjacent to Omanyte can still evolve.

[17.1b] If Omanyte is in A4, that would mean that both A5 and B5 would need to be PKMN that can still evolve, as Simisage cannot still evolve. This is possible, with the clues we have so far.

[17.1c] If Omanyte is in B2, the condition cannot be met, however, as Nidoqueen, Tyranitar, Simisage, Beautifly and Musharna are all fully evolved, as might be the PKMN in B1.

[17.1d] Omanyte is therefore in A4. That means that Kabutops is in B2.

STEP 18

KABUTOPS: In this row, there are exactly: 3 Water Types, 1 Normal Type, 1 Bug Type, 1 Poison Type, 1 Fire Type, 1 Rock Type, and 1 Flying Type.

[18.1] We know that B1 is a Bug/Flying Type [Beautifly's clue], B2 is a Water/Rock type, B3 is a Fire type and that B4 is a Water type. That means that B5 and B6 contain the types of Water, Poison and Normal. One of them must be a dual type. Let's consider the possibilities. The dual typing of Poison and Normal does not exist. The only Normal/Water type is Bibarel. And while Tentacool and Tentacruel are both Water/Poison types, neither is acceptable [14.2f], so the only possibility for a Water/Poison type is Qwilfish. Because neither of these PKMN can evolve, we know that they can't be in B5 [Gorebyss' clue]. Therefore, either B6 is Qwilfish and B5 is a pure Normal type or B6 is Bibarel and B5 is a pure Poison type.

OMANYTE: C4 and C6 are both from Gen IV. C6 is fully evolved. C4 is unevolved.

[18.2] If C6 is a fully evolved Dragon type from Gen IV, it could only be Garchomp, Dialga, Palkia or Giratina. However, these last three legendary PKMN are all genderless, and thus not in the quiz [Clamperl's clue]. Therefore, C6 is Garchomp.

[18.3] With Garchomp in C6, the C Row now contains a PKMN whose name contains the letter G; therefore, C4 must not contain a G in its name [Castform's clue]. We also know that C4 must be a Rock type [6.3a]. We also know that Klink is the only Steel type in the quiz [Clamperl's clue]. Therefore, only two options exist for C4: Bonsly and Cranidos.

STEP 19

GARCHOMP: D3 is a Gen III pure Electric type which cannot evolve.

[19.1] Gen III pure Electric types which are incapable of evolution include Manectric, Plusle and Minun. However, Plusle and Minun cannot be placed in D3 because they contain a U in their name [Raticate's clue]. D3 is Manectric.

STEP 20

MANECTRIC: C3, F2 and C4 are all weak to the type of the non-dual type PKMN in D5.

[20.1a] The PKMN in C3 is Smoochum, an Ice/Psychic type. Smoochum is weak to Rock, Bug, Ghost, Steel, Fire and Dark type attacks.

[20.1b] The PKMN in C4 is either Bonsly or Cranidos; nevertheless, both have the same typing: Rock. Rock types are weak to Water, Grass, Fighting, Ground and Steel type attacks.

[20.1c] The PKMN in F2 is currently unknown. However, we can see with just Smoochum and Bonsly/Cranidos that the only overlapping type weakness is Steel. Therefore, the PKMN in D5 is a pure Steel type PKMN. Furthermore, we know that the only Steel type PKMN in the quiz is Klink [Clamperl's clue]. Klink is in D5.

STEP 21

KLINK: Exactly 1 member of the Slakoth evolution is in this quiz. It's in Row F. None of these PKMN are in the quiz: Zigzagoon, Glameow, Gulpin, Koffing or Grimer.

[21.1] F5 must contain Slakoth, Slaking or Vigoroth, as it must be a Normal type [15.1].

[21.2a] Castform's clue tells us that Row B must contain exactly 1 PKMN containing the letter G in its name. We know that the must be either Cell B1 or B5 [18.1].

[21.2b] If the PKMN in Row B with a G in its name is in B1, it must be Yanmega [12.3].

[21.2c] If Yanmega is not the PKMN in B1, the PKMN in B5 must contain a G in its name. That PKMN must also be a gendered PKMN [Clamperl's clue], but must have both male and female forms [13.2]. Since the PKMN is in B5, it must not be fully evolved [Gorebyss' clue]. The PKMN's name cannot start with a vowel [Nidoqueen's clue], the letter T [14.2f], the letter L [Simisage's clue], or the letter N (we already have 2 PKMN whose names start with N (Nidoqueen and Nuzleaf)) [Wailmer's clue]. The only PKMN that meet all of these criteria are Glameow, Vigoroth and Zizagoon. However, we can rule out Vigoroth because Klink's clue tells us that only one member of the Slakoth evolution is in the quiz, and we know it's in F5 [21.1]. Furthermore, Klink's clue tells us that Zigzagoon and Glameow are not in the quiz. Therefore, this scenario cannot work.

[21.2d] If we apply the same criteria to Poison type PKMN as we did in [21.2c], we obtain the following possible PKMN: Grimer, Gulpin and Koffing. Klink's clue likewise rules out these 3 PKMN. This scenario is equally unviable.

[21.2e] Therefore, we can conclude that Yanmega is in B1.

STEP 22

YANMEGA: The following PKMN are in this quiz: Buneary, Duosion, Cubone, Vanilluxe and Shelgon.

[22.1] There are 10 empty cells left in the quiz. We know that Buneary, Cubone, Duosion, Shelgon and Vanilluxe make up 5 of them. But we also have candidates for 5 other cells already. We know that A5 must be either Fraxure, Deino or Zweilous, but not Haxorus, as A5 must not be a fully-evolved PKMN [16.1a]. B6 must be either Qwilfish or Bibarel [18.1]. C4 must be either Bonsly or Cranidos [18.3]. D2 must be Starly or Swablu [14.1]. And F5 must be Slakoth, Vigoroth or Slaking [21.1]. The 5 PKMN mentioned in Yanmega's clue thus are found in cells B5, D4, D6, F2 and F4.

[22.2] We know that B5 must be either a pure Poison type (if B6 is Bibarel) or a pure Normal type (if B6 is Qwilfish). Of the 5 PKMN mentioned by Yanmega, there are no pure Poison types, but there is a pure Normal type: Buneary. Buneary must be in B5. Therefore, B6 must also be Qwilfish.

[22.3] Musharna's clue indicates that there is a Dragon type in cell A5, C6 and F4. We know that A5 must be Fraxure, Deino or Zweilous, and we've already filled in C6 with Garchomp. Therefore, F4 must be Shelgon, as it's the only remaining Dragon type in the quiz.

[22.4] If Shelgon is in F4 [22.3], that means that 1 PKMN contains the letter G in Row F, which is not allowed by Castform's clue. Therefore, at least 1 more PKMN in Row F must also contain a G in its name. We know that F2 cannot contain a G in its name, as Duosion, Cubone and Vanilluxe all lack a G in their names. Therefore, F5 must contain a G in its name, making it either Vigoroth or Slaking [21.1]. But we also know that there are only 6 PKMN in the quiz with names starting with the letter S [Wailmer's clue]. They are: Sceptile, Starly/Swablu, Simisage, Smoochum, Shelgon and Sharpedo. Therefore, F5 cannot be Slaking and must instead be Vigoroth.

[22.5] We know that the PKMN in F2 is weak to Steel attacks [Manectric's clue, Step 20]. Therefore, F2 must be either an Ice or Rock type. The only option from what we have left is Vanilluxe.

STEP 23

VANILLUXE: There are exactly 5 Gen IV PKMN in this quiz. No PKMN start with Z, and exactly 3 start with C.

[23.1] The PKMN we currently have in cells from Gen IV are: Yanmega, Buneary, and Garchomp. We know that the PKMN in C4 is also a Gen IV PKMN [Omanyte's clue]. We need 1 more PKMN that is from Gen IV. The only way to do that is to pick Starly for D2 instead of Swablu [22.1].

[23.2] If no PKMN start with Z, Zweilous cannot be in the quiz: A5 is either Fraxure or Deino.

[23.3] The PKMN we've already marked that start with the letter C are: Castform and Clamperl. We also know that Cubone is in the quiz [Yanmega's clue]. Therefore, C4 must be Bonsly.

QWILFISH:

All rows except for one have at least 2 unevolved PKMN.

[23.4] If we look through the rows, we see that Row E, which is completed, has 0 unevolved PKMN. Therefore, every other row must have at least 2 unevolved PKMN. This means that to make two PKMN in Row 1 be unevolved, A5 must be an unevolved PKMN--Deino [23.2].

STEP 24

DEINO: No PKMN in Column 4 can learn the move Psychic.

[24.1] This means that Duosion can't be in D4. Therefore, it must be in D6. That means Cubone must be in D4.

CONGRATULATIONS, THAT'S IT!
